The traditions of the Jews from the Netherlands (Holland)
Under the next tabs you will find our Audio Library.
The audio library is a collection of audio fragments of tefiloh (prayers and prayer texts), zemiros (songs), as well as layning (cantilation of the Touroh (Torah) and Haftoroh (Haftarah, readings of the Prophets) and other ceremonial texts.
All audio fragments are in the original Dutch-Ashkenazi havoroh (havarah, pronunciation) and the cantilation of the Touroh and Haftoroh are done in the original Dutch-Ashkenazi 'trope' (melody). You can learn more about the Dutch-Ashkenazi pronunciation at our Minhag* page.
We try to upload the Parashah/Sidrah of the week, during the week before and try to add relevant audio fragments before the upcoming Youm Touv (Yom Tov, Holiday)
IMPORTANT: On many of our audio recordings we use the Shem H", G'ds Name, for educational purposes. This is allowed by many important Poskim (Rabbinical scholars).
Please understand that this website has not been finalized. We will keep adding material.
